It’s About Time

stop watchesI have a problem with getting places on time. This isn’t something new for me, if fact it’s been an issue for years. My Mom tells me I was born two weeks after her due date. Maybe it’s her fault. No really, I know it’s my problem. I was late for my second-grade ballet recital, and for my college graduation.

People have always known me to be tardy, and it’s embarrassing. In the past I tried using two alarm clocks and wake-up calls, but nothing worked. It wasn’t that I slept too late; it was that I just couldn’t seem to get out of the house on time.

As a joke my sister bought me two stop watches for my birthday this year. She said maybe I could use them to time myself getting ready in order to leave the house on time. I thought it would be an interesting experiment, so I tried it—and it actually worked, go figure! Anyways, I set the stop watches while I am showering, eating breakfast, and doing my hair and makeup. This way I know how much time I have. I turned 32 this year, and it’s about time I am on time!
